Then configure the Intel Management Engine

When you first go to login, it will prompt to setup a password.  It is finicky about what it accepts.  I believe it needs all 4 character types and at least 8 characters.  The default password is "admin".  Be sure to document what you set.

Configure...

User Consent: User Opt-In = All

  • Network Setup
    • Name Settings
      • You can have it share the local PC's name and be "Shared" or give AMT it's own host name and it be "Dedicated"

  • TCP/IP Settings
    • Recommend giving it an unused internal Static address with at least one public DNS.

You then need to "Activate Network Access"

Under Power Control, set ATM to be ON during as many states as it will offer.  In my case:

DO NOT open these ports to the Internet unless they are explicitly restricted to specific sources.
