Sharpdesk 3.3 Install

  1. Go into Sharpdesk3.3 -> Sharpdesk
  2. Double Click "setup"
  3. Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Sharpdesk -- Click Next
  4. Information -- Click Next
  5. License Agreement -- Click I accept the terms.. and click Next
  6. Enter the Serial Number.  Click Next
  7. Choose Destination Folder -- The default is fine.  Click Next
  8. Setup Type -- Choose Typical, Click Next
  9. Sharpdesk data file location -- If they have redirected documents, we would like for it to go there. Otherwise, the normal location is fine.  Click Next
  10. Ready to Install the Program -- Click Install
  11. Once finished, click Finish.
  12. Reboot the computer
  13. Wait for the Sharpdesk Network Scanner Tool to pop up
  14. Click Yes when it asks you to configure the default Profiles
  15. Network Scanner Tool Setup -- Click Next
  16. Scanner Selection -- Choose the correct scanners and click Next
  17. Confirm the prefix is either the user's name or the department -- Click Next
  18. Confirm what they had before.  Usually it is just DESKTOP, but some people use EMAIL as well.  Choose the correct one and click Next
  19. Click Finish
  20. Run a test scan.  Once you do, it will bring up a search program.  You can click Cancel and then Finish on there.  The scanned document should pop up in Sharpdesk now.
