- Go into Sharpdesk3.3 -> Sharpdesk
- Double Click "setup"
- Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Sharpdesk -- Click Next
- Information -- Click Next
- License Agreement -- Click I accept the terms.. and click Next
- Enter the Serial Number. Click Next
- Choose Destination Folder -- The default is fine. Click Next
- Setup Type -- Choose Typical, Click Next
- Sharpdesk data file location -- If they have redirected documents, we would like for it to go there. Otherwise, the normal location is fine. Click Next
- Ready to Install the Program -- Click Install
- Once finished, click Finish.
- Reboot the computer
- Wait for the Sharpdesk Network Scanner Tool to pop up
- Click Yes when it asks you to configure the default Profiles
- Network Scanner Tool Setup -- Click Next
- Scanner Selection -- Choose the correct scanners and click Next
- Confirm the prefix is either the user's name or the department -- Click Next
- Confirm what they had before. Usually it is just DESKTOP, but some people use EMAIL as well. Choose the correct one and click Next
- Click Finish
- Run a test scan. Once you do, it will bring up a search program. You can click Cancel and then Finish on there. The scanned document should pop up in Sharpdesk now.
